You see those little codes that are popping up everywhere?  They allow quick access to info on a smart phone. You need a scanner/reader app on your phone, but you simply hold the phone to view the code and it will take you directly to a website or video.  (This code will take you to my website.)

(Search for 'Code Reader' if you need the app.  There are many available for free.)

I created this one for my website, and plan to put it on my business card.  It was very easy to do.  (Go to the website qrstuff.com if you would like to do the same.) 

My other plan is to create one minute videos and have the QR code next to all paintings on display at the Front Street Gallery.  This will allow me to 'talk' to anyone that is viewing my art.

By the way, this isn't an original idea of mine.  I heard it on blog talk radio show 'ArtistsHelpingArtists', hosted by palette knife painter and marketing guru Leslie Saeta. I will talk about that program in another blog.  It's absolutely fabulous.)

I'm very excited about this technology and it's capability to increase communication between artists and the viewing public.
